How do the TIKK and TAKK watches work?Updated a month ago

The KWIO TIKK and TAKK are classic, analog children's watches – intentionally reduced to the essentials to make learning to tell time as easy as possible. Both models operate with a quartz movement and are battery-powered.

Shared Functionality
Quartz Movement: Both watches use a reliable quartz mechanism – meaning they run precisely with a small battery.

Manual Time Setting: The time is set using a small crown (dial on the side of the case).

No Digital Technology: There’s no screen, no backlight, and no smart features – keeping the focus entirely on analog learning.

Specifically for the TIKK:

  • Two hands: hour and minute

  • No second hand – intentionally left out to support focused learning

  • Clear, easy-to-read dial – ideal for learning to tell time

Specifically for the TAKK:

  • Three hands: hour, minute, and second

  • Additionally: date display at the bottom of the dial

  • Slightly larger dial for more advanced time comprehension

Both watches are designed to help children learn about time in a playful, analog way – at their own pace. If you need help setting the time or are unsure which watch is right, our customer service is happy to assist you.
